How do I subscribe to a MicroBilt API?

To subscribe and get a commercial key to use an API, you must buy a Package. Each Package has its own pricing plan and when you buy a Package you can use any API within the package at the Package’s plan rate.

To view available packages visit My API Subscriptions under account area (upper right of the website navigation bar where your email address is shown).

For billing, you will be adding money to your MicroBilt developer account using the billing method of your choosing. When you activate an API, the cost will be drawn down from your MicroBilt developer account. You can top up that account at any time.

To set this up you must:

  1. Look under your account area (upper right of the website navigation bar where your email address is shown), select and complete your My Account.
  2. Also under your account area select Billing & Reports, set up your payment method and add money to your MicroBilt Developer Account.

First, be sure you used the email address the developer registered with. You can only invite developers who are already registered with Developer.MicroBilt.com.

When invited, a developer will not receive an email. Instead, they should log into the site and go to Manage Companies under their Account drop-down. They can accept their invite there.

Billing and payment

You will also find receipts for your paid bills under Received Bills.

Your MicroBilt Developer account is where all of your API billing takes place. APIs are billed on a subscription basis and funds are drawn down from a pre-paid deposit you place into your MicroBilt Developer account.

To add money to your account go to Billing & Reports and select the Add Money to Account. You’ll then be walked through the process of adding money via credit card.

MicroBilt will notify you if your account balance is insufficient based on your open subscriptions.

You will also find receipts for your paid bills under Received Bills.

The Manage Companies feature under My Account is a convenient way to set each client business up as a separate ‘sub account’ under your master MicroBilt Developer account. By creating a Company profile for each of your clients, you can add money to separate accounts for separate businesses. This makes it easier to track costs and managing billing.

Creating a company account

What's the difference between my Developer account and a "Company"?

What's the difference between my Developer account and a "Company"?

When you first register with the site, you're creating a personal developer account.

If you're working on behalf of a company or client, we recommend you set up a
"Company" in the site (go to your account drop down and select Manage Companies).

A "Company" account lets you set up a separate billing and subscriptions for that company or client. You can also invite other developers to use API keys associated with that account while maintaining the security of your own separate personal developer account.

Are my Developer and Company API subscriptions the same?

Are my Developer and Company API subscriptions the same?

No. Any API keys or account balances you have associated with your developer account will not be available to your company accounts (or developers invited to those companies).

To associate an API key with a company, you should go to Manage Companies, choose or create a company, and then subscribe to keys and add money to your payment balance there.
